Sex Shop Reviews - Bondara

Region:United Kingdom; Online Exclusive
Price Point: ££ - Really too expensive for what it is, before discounts.
Overall Thoughts: Mostly cheaply produced own-brand toys, lack of safety in sales, lack of responsibility. Only worth using for bulk condoms and trusted brands
What Did We Like Most? There are frequent sales and coupons; there are trusted-brands for sale on the site which can end up cheaper to purchase when using coupons
What Didn't We Like? Own-brand toys that have caused injuries, marketing high-risk kink items to a vanilla market with little to no responsibility
What Do We Recommend from this store? Bulk Condoms, Branded Goods (OxBalls, FleshLight, ETC)
Our Rating: 1.5/5

Introduction

We hate to preface a review with a warning, but in this case, he feels it is a must. Purchase own-brand Bondara toys at your own risk. These toys are not safe for use; the Bondara "Kiss Clitoral Sucker" had drawn an alarming amount of blood on use. We make sure that all of our toys are cleaned thoroughly, and are used with utmost caution towards safety, and are used only as recommended. No toy should ever draw blood; around a teaspoon's worth of blood was drawn from the clitoral hood on use of the Bondara Kiss Clitoral Stimulator. This should not happen to anybody. Bondara has lost our faith in producing sex toys which are safe for use.
On top of this, Bondara has many counts of sellingsex toys which use materials that are not body safe such as 'Jelly' toys (Check our Sex Toy Buying Guide for more information) and door restraints which are known to collapse in on themselves - we cannot, in good faith, recommend anybody to purchase 'unbranded' (own-brand) toys and gear off of Bondara.

Another cause of concern is that this shop markets towards vanillas, but does not push forwards guides for safety or use for their higher-risk kink items. Of course, we are all for welcoming people into the world of BDSM - but Bondara markets a step right into the deep end, offering items such as 'Beginner' E-Stim devices, 'Beginner' Shibari ropes & bondage tapes, right alongside the "50 Shades of Grey" kits and Ben Wa Balls. They market themselves as a site "For Beginners and experts alike", and as the way to "Step into kink", marketed at married straight couples who are not very kinky at all. This whole concept is incredibly dangerous; you cannot simply market at vanillas, and expect for them to know what is and isn't safe to use; the best of us within the BDSM community have learnt from within our community - a community which the people which Bondara is marketing to, seldom know even exists. I think that it is irresponsible to market 'beginner' kits for higher-risk kinks, without including at least a notice of the risk level involved.

Rubber

Bondara offers a range of cheap rubber at not-so-cheap prices; unless you are a beginner looking to get into the world of rubber, and can manage to nab 40% off or more, we do not recommend buying from Bondara. Not to mention the confusing "Leather & Latex & PVC Care Shining Spray" they offer - these are three very different materials, and with latex, a 'Shine Spray' is very different from a 'Care spray'. This product seems to mimic terms which sound enticing to beginners.
The rubber items which Bondara sells are entirely molded latex, which can be purchased from speciality shops, such as Affordable Latex at a much more affordable price - you can guarantee that a shop such as A.L will give you the correct care and sizing information for your garments, as well.

So what should you buy from Bondara?

There is one thing that every kinkster should pack into their repetoire... CONDOMS! Bondara sells bulk condoms, which are frequently on some sort of sale. Combined with the 5% members discount for owning an account, and the ever-changing 15-20% off codes, it is incredibly easy to rack up a good deal in condoms. Our most recent order of condoms ended up working out to 100 Pasante 'Extra Safe' condoms, totalling £21.98 with free shipping. We usually go with Skins, but being latex fetishists - thicker latex is always a dream. (If you know of a more affordable place to buy bulk condoms, please send us an email)
Bondara is also a good place to buy name-brand items that you have been looking for elsewhere; not all of their prices are better, but if you are already placing an order, it usually works out cheaper to add-on the items you were already looking at in other shops. Be Ware that Bondara sells knock-off own-brand products; if the brand name is NOT in the item name, then it is NOT the genuine item! They are often ripping off of Mr. B & Mr. S with their products, so be wary.
